RDX Phi magic VIII: The all improved RDX Phi Diff - #79680:
Corally introduces an all improved RDX Phi differential (#79680). This new improved diff ensures long lasting super smooth trouble free diff action.
796841.) The new diff uses 18 x 2.5 mm chrome balls (#1015) which run on large super hard diff washers (#79684). This combination guarantees to handle higher torque required for today’s brushless racing.
11252.) The thrust bearing has been replaced by a special flanged ball bearing (#1125) which provides super smooth low maintenance thrust action.
3.) The diff uses the black anodized aluminium M4 (#1257) Nylock Nut for fine and trouble free adjustments.
4.) The new optionally available 7 mm hex graphite diff nut 79681wrench (#79685) will make adjustments even easier. Also even if the diff is already installed in the car.
5.) The new short (#79681) and long (#79682) outdrives have larger flanges for better and tru support of the diff washers. These also cover the diff balls and help prevent dust or other dirt from intruding and minimizes rebuilding of the diff.

Change of color – RDX Phi center steering lever - #79256B:
The color of the steering levers have been slightly changed from brownish dark to bluish light, so if they are combined for RDX / Phi like in #79256A, it looks rather strange. But since RDX Phi only uses center steering, Team Corally decided to introduce a center steering lever #79256B:

Part#

Item:

79256A RDX Phi Steering lever set- with all holes threaded M3 – Duraluminium
79256B RDX Phi Center Steering lever, threaded (1pc.) – Duraluminium

New thickness (2.9 mm) for RDX Phi Topdeck – #79858:
If you want to adjust your RDX Phi with different thickness of graphite parts, the Team Corally 2.9 mm thick RDX Phi Topdeck is a way to go. Check out the Phi (the perfect number, 0.1618) – sign engraved on the Topdeck! Just be careful if you try it out on a 3.4 mm thick (#79839) chassis – the double thick combination might collide with the batteries.

Part#

Item:

79837 RDX Phi, Chassis – 2.4 mm Graphite (STD)
79838 RDX Phi, Chassis – 2.9 mm Graphite (OPT)

Battery Strap for RDX Phi – #79863:
In case you don’t want to fasten your precious batteries with sticky straps that make the beautiful stickers (from matchers) on the batteries looking messy after few rounds, you are more then welcome to use the good old fashioned Team Corally battery strap for your RDX Phi (#79863) to fasten your batteries neatly. Well, even if all the faster guys use the dudely straps, who cares?

Part#

Item:

79863 RDX Phi, Battery Strap – graphite

RDX magic Part III:
The ground breaking revolutionary RDX Phi Diff with NUT – (#79690 - #79694):
How about a Diff fastened by a NUT? No more breaking Screws!
So the revolutionary construction of the RDX Phi Diff is enjoying the great moment of writing history before anyone gets the chance to copy the technique. Here are some facts:
  • Large Thrust Bearing, same as in SP12X
  • Super Lightweight
  • It uses M7 Diff nut, 9 mm Hex for diff adjustment instead of a diff screw.
  • Unique Output Shaft design - Duraluminium

Usually the diff is always used on the rear. You can choose either Diff / Spool / One Way in front.

  • If you use Spool in front, you will use more power. If you break, you will break on all 4 wheels, so easier handling. You will have a permanent drive train of all wheels (rigid front axle) if you break.
  • If you use Diff in front, you will have more resistance. You will be less sharp out of the corner.
  • If you use One way in front, you will break on 2 wheels on the rear. More difficult to handle, but higher efficiency.
Also a diff rebuild kit incl. diff nut is available as #79693.

RDX Phi Spool - #79655:
  • uses new pulley design
  • you can use 36T, 42T diff pulleys

RDX Phi magic Part II:
Pulley 36 Teeth (#79670) or 42 Teeth (#79672):
RDX Phi offers multiple choices to use either One way, Spool or Diff with either 36 Teeth or 42 Teeth Diff Pulley in a blink. For Diff, use 36 Teeth Pulley (#79670); For Spool / One Way, use 36 Teeth Pulley #79671, and so on… as shown on the list below:

RDX Phi magic Part I:
Changing REAR and FRONT Bearing Holders (#79698 - #79703):
Did you think we were finished with the RDX Phi magic? Team Corally are just getting started! You can change the rear bearing holders in order to get the following wheelbases in a flinch:

Long Wheelbase

264 mm
Middle Wheelbase 260 mm
Short Wheelbase 256 mm
REAR BAERING HOLDERS – CHANGING THE WHEELBASE:
To change the wheelbase has never been that easy and clear. So with the rear Baering Holders, you can change the wheelbase with #79700 / 1 between 256 mm and 264 mm. That means you can take them out, flip them over and put them in, and there you will have 8 mm different wheelbase than before in an instant. Just remember to use the right pulley / belt combo when changing the wheelbase (see RDX Phi instruction manual).
For example: If your rear is sliding away in the corner, thus loosing speed, you can lengthen the wheelbase to put more weight in the rear, to gain more balance hence become quicker in the corner.
If you want to get the middle wheelbase in between these two, just 4 mm difference, no problem, just use #79702 / 3 to get the 260 mm wheelbase, right before you know it.

Part#

Item:

79700 / A RDX Phi, Bearing Holder, Rear – Left (256 / 264 mm) – Duraluminium (STD)
79701 / A RDX Phi, Bearing Holder, Rear – Right (256 / 264 mm) – Duraluminium (STD)
79702 / A RDX Phi, Bearing Holder, Rear – Left (260 mm) – Duraluminium (OPT)
79703 / A RDX Phi, Bearing Holder, Rear – Right (260 mm) – Duraluminium (OPT)
(Note: the color of the bearing holders has slightly changed (blue grey) – to get the new colors, just put an A behind each numbers)
